About this module
COVID-19 remains a serious illness for many people with disability, who were more likely to be hospitalised and to die from it throughout the pandemic. This module covers transmission, people at higher risk, vaccination, antivirals and early treatment, respiratory hygiene and ventilation, PPE, testing, managing a positive case in a shared home, outbreak management, supporting participants' wellbeing and rights during isolation, and long COVID.
Who it is for
All support workers, SIL and group home staff, and day program staff.

- Explain how COVID-19 spreads and who is at higher risk
- Apply prevention measures including ventilation, hygiene and PPE
- Support timely testing and access to antiviral treatment
- Manage a positive case in a shared living environment
